We wanted a place that was close to our home in case our children needed us while we were away. The pictures and write up just spoke to us! But don’t let that fool you; those don’t do the place justice! A beautiful, open floor plan apartment with plenty of room for us to spread out. The views were beautiful out of the large picture windows. The kitchen was well-equipped. The morning breakfast was top notch, and rivaled any star chef we have eaten from! But better than all of that was Glenn and Kay as hosts. They are truly made for this lifestyle! They love people and it shows in the quality and pride they take throughout their home and your experience. We came as guests, but left as friends! We would highly recommend for your next getaway! Pond Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast Now Offers Date Night – A Truly Unique Dining Experience

Pond Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast is rapidly becoming a highly acclaimed boutique country inn and is the preferred choice in Vermont lodging for weekend retreats – year-round destination focusing on holidays, hosting elegant dinner parties and seasonal attractions. This year, we’re offering Date Night; a four-course farm-to-table candlelit dinner prepared with fresh organic seasonal fruits, vegetables, seafood, meats and poultry served al fresco. Pair these exquisite ingredients with incredible mountain views for a truly unique dining experience.

Your evening begins on the great lawn in comfortable traditional Adirondack chairs while you enjoy delicious summer hors d’oeuvres, smoked salmon and local hand-crafted cheeses. The conversation grows as the daylight wanes, and around 7:30 p.m. dinner is served. One of the specialty meals you can find on the menu is an organic red leaf lettuce salad with homemade sherry vinaigrette followed by large pan-seared sea scallops Provencal, Milanese risotto, sautéed broccoli florets with garlic, fresh summer corn with cream and chive butter. Dish following mouth-watering dish is complete with a decadent chocolate molten cake dessert with freshly whipped cream and garden raspberries.

*Pond Mountain Inn is a “BYOB” – we do not have a liquor license. In addition to your appetite please bring your own wine, beer and spirits – we’ll supply the rest; proper wine glasses, chilled beer glasses, ice, mixers and garnishes! There is no corkage fee or other fees associated with providing you with your favorite fine wine, beer, or small batch spirit. If you wish, please drop off your red or white wine a day earlier so that we can chill the red at 56° and white at 42°. The correct temperature can still be achieved between the hors d’oeuvres course and the main course if distance or convenience is an issue.

Date Night is available between July 30 through October 15, 2020.
