A Day in Lake Placid

We spent the day at the 2023 Winter World University Games—11-Day International Competition in Lake Placid… a beautiful winter village within the Adirondack State Park. The Lake Placid Olympic Museum exhibits and artifacts were fascinating. Here’s a brief compilation of our day… Just over two hours from Pond Mountain Inn.

Lake Placid Bobsled Experience

International Short Track Speedskating is back in Lake Placid for the first time in many years! Short track speed skating is a form of competitive ice speed skating. In competitions, multiple skaters (groups typically between four and six) skate on an oval ice track. The American Cup will consist of 500m, 1000m, 2000m, and 3000m distances with men and women competing. The drive time to Lake Placid is about two hours. Join Us – We’re Definitely  Going!!
